June 2011 - I was worried initially about the packing. I purchased two of these and they arrived in light packing material. Both appeared to be in good working condition and so far I have had no problems. The previous reviewer is correct about the lack of a diode, but that is easily rectified with a trip to Radio Shack. Note this product does not come with suitable mounting equipment.

I bought this for use as a trickle charger on several vehicles that are seldom driven.I am very happy with the results.The panel seems sturdy and is just the right capacity for a slow charge on an automotive battery.A blocking diode or charge controller must be used if the panel is kept connected at night as there is none built in.I live in the tropics.You may want to consider a larger panel for a similar application in a temperate zone.

a good panel. Be Careful, no diode installed. Needs a diode, if not used it will run backard at night to discharge battery.
