This is a well designed case. It is also very light. There are a few cases for iPad 2 that utilize its auto wake/sleep feature, but don't take into consideration the fact that any lateral movement of the magnets in closed position can unintentionally wake and sleep the device intermittently. This case uses a canvas latch that is effective in keeping the magnets aligned with the iPad. This unit also has four dedicated corner magnets (two on the lid, and two on the base) apparently designed to align the lid and help it stay closed, even when the latch is not engaged. These magnets produce a very satisfying click when you close the lid, providing nice feedback.
I was originally concerned about how difficult it would be to secure the canvas latch in its standing and locked positions, but it turned out this can be done without looking, by feel, and reasonably fast. Opening and closing the latch quickly is not a problem for me, contrary to other reviewer's experience.
The only unknown is how well the case's canvas material and latch will wear over time. I originally preferred leather, or other man made material over canvas, but since the canvas is so lightweight, I have no complaints.

My cover flap has an issue where the flap turns off the device when it is open and wrapped around the back. According to STM Bags, there was a manufacturing defect in the early batches, and the magnets installed were too powerful. STM Bags support has been very eager to resolve the issue, offering to send me another cover, or an insulating strip. I chose a new cover. Unfortunately, the new cover had the same problem. I am now waiting for the insulating strip that needs to be attached to the inside of the cover.

Was looking for a very small, slim case for my iPad (wanted my small, slim device to stay that way). This case does the job well. Yes, it won't save your iPad from a 10' fall, but you know what you're sacrificing with a slim case.
My only complaint is that when folded all the way around (flat behind the iPad), the case's magnets can trigger the ipad's automatic sleep mechanism. Early reviews I read on this case said that didn't happen, but I guess it's to be expected with the case as slim as it is. As it is that's my only disappointment with this product.
Fits great in my STM iPad Jacket BTW.

I've had this case for about 6 weeks. At first, I thought it was a good case for the money. I loved the thin, light style. My only complaint was that when you open the case completely and bend back the cover, the magnets frequently cause the iPad to turn off while using it. I would have given it 4 stars.
After a couple of weeks, however, the fabric started fraying around the edges. The stitching around the tab has come off completely, and the fabric has separated, making it extremely difficult to insert into the slot used for standing it up and closing it. I am now shopping for a new case.
